Kitchen and bathroom extractor fans

Extractor fans in East London

Is the bathroom fan running properly?

A fan that won't start may have a fault in its supply or controls. I can check those and replace the fan if needed. I also do electrical connections for kitchen extraction equipment.

The job you need

What is happening?

When you contact me, include when the problem started and how much of your home is affected.

A bathroom fan will not start

Does it normally come on with the light or a separate switch? Include that when you describe the problem.

The extractor fan is noisy

Tell me what the noise is like and whether the fan still runs. A replacement may be more sensible than repairing the old unit.

Replacing an old fan

Send a photo and any model number you can see without opening the cover. Those details help with finding a replacement that fits.

Fitting a fan in a new position

The job needs both an electrical supply and a route for the ventilation duct. Tell me whether the ducting is already in place.

During the visit

What the work involves

The existing wiring affects what can be done. I'll check it and explain the work before you agree to it.

I check the fan supply and the switch or timer controlling it.

We discuss a repair or replacement once I know what is wrong.

The quote needs to separate the electrical connection from any ducting, drilling or other building work.

For a new installation, ask whether the quote includes ducting and drilling. Those are separate jobs from connecting the electrics.

Arranging a visit

Booking a visit

Your postcode and a description of the problem give me enough to start. We can then agree a time and the visit charge.

Speak with Dzhelal

Tell me what's stopped working, or what you'd like installed. A photo is useful if the fitting is difficult to describe.

Book a time

I'll check when I can get to your address and explain the visit charge before we book a time.

Confirm the price

For a repair, the price depends on what I find. I'll explain it before doing that work.

Before you get in touch

Before you book

Ask about the visit charge when you contact me. Any repair work is priced once I've checked the problem.

Can you replace my bathroom extractor fan?

Yes. A photo of the existing fan and your postcode are enough to start the conversation.

Why does the fan keep running after the light is off?

A timer may be keeping it on. Tell me how long it runs and how it is controlled so I can check the timer and electrical controls.

Can the fan be moved?

I can check the new position, but it needs a ventilation route as well as power. We agree who will do the ducting and electrical work before booking.
